Why Choose Brite Landscaping for Your Decking Project?
Built on the Right Subframe
A quality deck depends on much more than the boards you see. We design and construct a suitable supporting framework, accounting for ground conditions, drainage, ventilation, levels and the chosen decking system to create a stable and long-lasting installation.
Decking for Every Style & Budget
From cost-effective treated softwood to hardwood, composite, Millboard and premium aluminium systems, we’ll help you compare the appearance, maintenance requirements, lifespan and price of each option before deciding what works best for your garden.
Designed & Managed From Start to Finish
We assess your garden, measure the space and plan important details including levels, steps, access and drainage before construction begins. Your project is then managed throughout, with clear communication from initial design through to completion.

Transformation!
David Colchester (Bramhall)
We had Millboard decking installed as part of a larger garden project and the finish is superb. The attention to detail around the edges, steps and frame really stands out. It feels properly built and looks fantastic.

Sunken deck area!
Jane Prescott (Macclesfield)
“We had a two tier decked area built at the back of the garden and couldn’t be happier with it. Calum helped us choose the right boards and layout, and the finished result looks far better than we could ever of imagined.”

Floating Deck
Michael Taylor (Wilmslow)
"Brite Landscaping replaced our old timber deck with composite decking and the difference is massive. Everything was explained properly before the job started and the workmanship was excellent. we wanted a floating deck as we are adding planters and pathways next year. we will be having the team back for this once we have the funds for stage 2. Extremely happy so far”

Happy Lady!
Emma Smythe (Marple)
“Great job from start to finish. Turned up when they said they would, worked hard and left everything clean. Would definitely recommend.”

No more dead space!
Mr and Mrs titesworth (Macclesfield)
“Our garden was on a slope and we weren’t sure how to make the space usable. The new raised decking has given us a proper seating area and made a huge difference. Really impressed with the build quality.”

Feature Corner Decking
Mr Patel (Cheadle Hulme)
“From the initial visit through to completion, everything was straightforward. The team were friendly, tidy and clearly knew what they were doing. Would happily use Brite Landscaping again.”

Flat roof decking
Alan and Sue (Cheadle)
“Really impressed with Brite Landscaping. Our project included decking over a flat roof, which several other landscapers either couldn’t take on or didn’t want to get involved with. Calum and the team were confident from the start, worked through the technical side properly and completed it flawlessly as part of the wider garden transformation. The whole project was well managed and the finished result looks brilliant. Would definitely recommend.”

Beautiful Seating Area!
Melvin (Stockport)
“Brite Landscaping completely transformed an area of our garden that we couldn’t really use before. What had been an awkward raised bed is now a proper decked seating area that feels like part of the garden rather than wasted space. Calum talked us through the best way to build it, the team worked around the existing levels really well and the finish is excellent. It’s made the garden far more practical and we’re really pleased with the result.”

Multi Level Decking
James L (Congleton)
“Brite Landscaping took on a really challenging project for us on a very steep garden where other options just didn’t seem practical. They designed and built a large three-tier timber deck that has completely changed how we use the space. The levels were difficult and there was a lot to work around, but the team handled it brilliantly and the finished structure feels solid, safe and really well thought out. What was once an awkward slope is now three proper usable areas. We’re absolutely delighted with it.”

Completely Transformed!
Ryan P. (Didsbury)
"From the first call to the finished job, Birch Landscapes were brilliant. We had our old driveway replaced with block paving and it’s completely transformed the front of our home. Great attention to detail, tidy workmanship, and very friendly lads. Highly recommended across Stockport and beyond."
Decking FAQs in Macclesfield
The best decking depends on your budget, preferred appearance and how much maintenance you want to carry out. Softwood offers excellent value, hardwood provides premium natural timber, while composite, Millboard and aluminium provide progressively lower-maintenance alternatives.
Professional decking installations typically start at around £90/m² for straightforward softwood projects, rising to £250/m² or more for premium systems such as Millboard. Ground conditions, height, subframe construction, steps, balustrades and access can all affect the final cost.
Neither is automatically better. Timber offers genuine natural character and a lower starting price, while composite generally requires less ongoing maintenance and will not need regular staining or oiling. We can show you samples and explain the differences during your free site visit.
Hollow composite uses internal cavities to reduce material use, weight and cost. Solid boards are denser and generally more robust, while premium capped solid boards also incorporate a protective outer layer to improve resistance to moisture, staining and wear.
Millboard is a premium wood-free decking system manufactured in the UK. Its boards are moulded from selected timber to recreate natural wood grain but use a mineral-resin core and specialist surface rather than conventional timber or standard wood-plastic composite construction.
Often no. In England, garden decking can generally fall within permitted development where it is no more than 300mm above ground level, does not contribute to buildings and structures covering more than 50% of the garden, and is not positioned forward of the principal elevation. Listed properties and designated areas can have additional restrictions.
Yes. Decking is particularly useful for sloping gardens because the supporting structure can create a level outdoor area above changing ground levels. Raised decks require additional structural work and may also require steps, guarding or planning consideration depending on their height.
Yes. Good drainage and ventilation beneath decking are important for the long-term performance of both the boards and supporting structure. We assess existing ground conditions and levels before installation and design the base so water is not unnecessarily trapped beneath the deck.
Existing thresholds, damp-proof courses, drainage and access all need to be considered before the finished paving level is set. Building guidance also makes clear that alterations should not make access to a dwelling less satisfactory, so levels and steps need to be planned carefully rather than simply raising the patio to suit the surrounding garden
The paving you see is only the finished surface. The longevity of a patio also depends on excavation, sub-base preparation, drainage, falls, bedding, jointing and maintaining suitable levels around the property. At Brite Landscaping, we approach the entire construction as a system rather than concentrating solely on how the paving looks when it is first installed.
